Eastlake High School Pre-Engineering Program
Since the opening of the school in September 1992, Eastlake High School was built with technology in mind. Initially named Pre-Engineering and Technology Academy (PETA), it started offering only Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) and Electronics courses. Over the years, our program has evolved significantly providing exposure to more diverse STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) careers. On 2003-04 school year, Eastlake High adopted Project Lead The Way and renamed PETA into just “Pre-Engineering Program”. The program received a Golden Bell Award in 2006 for innovation from the California School Boards Association. Our program combines PLTW courses and high demand Computer Science/Engineering courses.
